Wind. Clouds. Land. Sea. Horizon.
Living here, on the north coast of The Netherlands, it is no wonder that the landscape is reflected in my work.

This work is part of a series called Land of Skies, inspired by  the wide open spaces, the big sky over Het Hogeland.  
These landscapes are not literal depictions of the scenery. They emerged in my studio—created playfully, layer upon layer, using a palette knife. In some layers, I scratched, scraped, and/or sanded the surface to reveal the layers beneath.

The original work is 30x30cm and was sold to a private collector. But you can have a version of it too! 
• Acid- and lignin-free and made to last.
• The natural finish enhances vibrancy and depth.
• Textured matte surface that enhances depth without losing clarity.
